Daridra (Poverty) Dosha or Yoga is formed in a horoscope when the lords of either or both the lord of 2nd and 11th houses are placed in debilitation or the 6th, 8th or the 12th house. The 2nd house is associated with personal income, wealth, possessions, family and monetary prospects. The 11th house shows income, prosperity, gains, profit, friends, elder brother or sister, hopes and aspirations and their fulfilment.
Apart from the above mentioned position of lords of 2nd and 11th, due analysis of the Karaka of these two houses- Jupiter, its role for particular ascendant under consideration, its placement and strength along with Venus should also be done.
Effects of Daridra Yoga in Kundli:
This is an inauspicious Yoga, as Daridra also means pauper or beggar. With this dosha in one’s chart, it gives acute financial crisis, loss of wealth, job, prestige, hardship, continuous losses and health problems related to eyes and ears.
Such persons suffer severely in accumulating money on one hand and unable to gain any such fulfilment either. This does not means that the person will be a beggar, but is an activation of chart wherein person face big difficulties, obstacles and losses in making money. The circumstances- which can arise out of many aspects of life- are very challenging and they are unable to save any money also.
Such events and circumstances are enhanced during the Antardasha of the lords of 2nd and 11th house lords.
